The Department of Development, Quality and Academic Accreditation of the Arab East Colleges is committed to supporting and improving the quality of all academic and administrative units belonging to the colleges and applying their nationally and internationally recognised standards and systems, and ensuring their continuity and development

  • Institutional:
  • 1-A- Applying the criteria for institutional academic accreditation.
  • 1. B. Preparing comprehensive plans for quality assurance and development in all academic and administrative units
  • 1. C- Providing technical support to measure and evaluate the performance of the work outputs of all academic and administrative units.
  • 1. D. Contributing to achieving the standards and controls of digital transformation in colleges.
  • Applying programmatic academic accreditation criteria in all academic college programs:
  • 2-A- Consistency of academic programs in colleges with national and international accreditation standards, the requirements of the national qualifications framework, and with professional and specialised standards and labour market requirements.
  • 2-B- Improving the results of college graduates in professional and standardised tests.
  • 2-C- Preparing studies and reports on the follow-up of academic performance development in colleges.
  • Implementing comprehensive quality standards in academic and administrative units in colleges.
  • 3-A- Establishing the culture of quality among college employees.
  • 3-B- Developing the spirit of constructive competition between academic and administrative units in the colleges to achieve excellence in business outputs.
  • 3-C- Providing consultations and technical support to the academic and administrative units of the colleges towards achieving quality standards and academic accreditation.

Strategic plan

The strategic plan of the Arab East Colleges represents an integrated roadmap for achieving academic, research and community excellence, and is based on national and international quality standards, with a focus on continuous improvement, governance, and sustainability to ensure the achievement of the colleges' mission and objectives.

The axes of the strategy:

  • The vision of excellence in university education locally and regionally
  • The mission is to prepare a distinguished graduate scientifically and researchly who contributes effectively to serving the community and achieving Vision 2030, by providing a supportive and stimulating academic environment for creativity

Strategic objectives:

  • Providing academic and professional programs characterised by the quality of their educational outputs in accordance with the requirements of the labour market
  • Enhancing scientific research and knowledge production to meet societal needs and national trends
  • Promoting social responsibility and partnerships:
  • Developing the institutional system and operations governance in a framework of integrity, justice and transparency
  • Achieving sustainable development to provide an attractive academic environment that stimulates creativity
  • Achieving quality standards to contribute to the development of performance and improving academic reputation

  • Academic axis: program development, measuring learning outcomes, follow-up of the educational process
  • Research axis: Supporting research projects, establishing research centres, promoting scientific publication
  • Community Axis: Community Service Programs, Strategic Partnerships, Ongoing Training
  • Administrative and financial axis: developing administrative systems, enhancing financial efficiency, applying governance
  • Technical axis: Digital infrastructure development, e-learning support, data management.

Follow-up and evaluation mechanisms:

  • Key performance indicators (KPIs) for each strategic goal with a total of (67) performance indicators
  • Periodic, semi-annual and annual reports
  • Internal and external review of quality assurance
  • Continuous improvement plans based on the results of performance indicators and opinion polls
