A word from his Excellency, The Chairman of the Board of Trustees
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his Family, and his Companions.
Peace, mercy, and the blessings of Allah be upon you.
Every era in our nation’s history is defined by a unique developmental character. Our current period is distinguished by a profound official and public focus on education in general, and higher education in particular. This is most clearly evidenced by the widespread expansion of universities and colleges across the Kingdom.
Private higher education has long been a cornerstone of the Kingdom's academic landscape, ensuring an essential developmental process for our nation's future. Following this tradition, private university education—a relatively new facet of our educational system—has gained significant popularity across all sectors of Saudi society. The nation’s strategic vision recognizes that this sector will serve as a catalyst for higher education, enhancing both quality and human resource development.
As the number of public and private institutions grew, so did the urgent need to expand postgraduate programs at the Master’s and Doctoral levels. The Ministry of Higher Education responded commendably by encouraging both domestic and international scholarship programs and by licensing high-quality academic and administrative entities to excel in this field.
By the grace of Allah, the Minister of Higher Education approved the establishment of Al-Faisal College for Graduate Studies on 28/12/1428 H, which has since become the Arab East Colleges for Graduate Studies, offering a variety of Master’s programs in applied and administrative disciplines.
Additionally, His Excellency approved the establishment of Al-Faisal College for Applied Studies on 28/12/1428 H, offering various Bachelor’s degree programs. On 3rd Jumada al-Awwal, 1441 H, the Minister approved the establishment of the Arab East College of Law. It is our hope that the Arab East Colleges (encompassing Graduate Studies, Applied Studies, and Law) will serve as a beacon of higher education, meeting the needs of both citizens and residents of this blessed land.
May Allah shower peace, safety, and wise leadership upon our nation under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. May Allah safeguard them and grant us success in all our endeavors.
