A word from His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions.
Peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you… and after that,
Each period in our beloved country's history is marked by a developmental character that distinguishes it from others. Perhaps what distinguishes the current period is the official and unofficial focus on education in general, and higher education in particular. Nothing demonstrates this more clearly than the proliferation of universities and colleges throughout the regions and provinces of our dear country.
Private public education has long been a major pillar of education in the Kingdom, proving itself an essential part of the development process. Then came private university education, which, despite its relative newness, has found considerable acceptance. Observers believe it will be a strong catalyst for higher education in terms of quality and responsiveness to employment needs.
With the proliferation of public and private universities and colleges, a pressing need arose to expand higher education programs (at the master's and doctoral levels). The Ministry of Higher Education commendably responded to this by encouraging internal and external scholarship programs and granting licenses to academically and administratively qualified entities to enter this field.
By the grace of God, the Minister of Higher Education approved the establishment of Al-Faisal College for Graduate Studies on 28/12/1428, which is now the Arab East College for Graduate Studies, with a number of master's programs in various applied and administrative disciplines.
His Excellency also approved, on 28/12/1428 H, the establishment of Al-Faisal College for Applied Studies with a number of bachelor's degree programs in various administrative and applied disciplines. On 03/05/1441 H, His Excellency the Minister approved the establishment of the Arab East College of Law. It is hoped that the Arab East Colleges (the College of Graduate Studies, the College of Applied Studies, and the College of Law) will be a source of higher education, contributing to meeting the needs of citizens and residents throughout our blessed land.
May God perpetuate the blessings of security, safety, and scientific leadership upon our nation, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and with the support of his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. May God protect them all.
And God is the source of all success.
