General Principles of the Strategic Research Plan.

  • Arab East Colleges aim to achieve leadership in scientific research and innovation through the implementation of a comprehensive five-year strategic plan (2023/2024–2027/2028). This plan is designed to meet societal needs and respond to national and international challenges, contributing to the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which positions scientific research and development as a central driver for economic growth and sustainable development.

  • Scientific research serves as a key tool for advancing knowledge and generating innovative solutions to the challenges faced by societies. Based on this principle, the plan focuses on building an advanced research ecosystem characterized by quality and excellence, providing a stimulating environment for researchers and innovators. This ecosystem includes supporting researchers at all academic stages, enhancing collaboration between colleges and both local and international communities, and linking scientific research to labor market needs and national development priorities.

  • The strategic plan encompasses multiple objectives aimed at improving the quality and impact of research outputs, with a focus on priority research areas such as education, law, technology, and business administration. The colleges also seek to strengthen their role in fostering innovation by cultivating a culture of creativity and encouraging entrepreneurship, thereby generating innovative solutions to societal challenges and enhancing the Kingdom’s global competitiveness.

  • To ensure the achievement of these objectives, precise monitoring mechanisms have been designed, including key performance indicators and periodic reviews to assess progress and identify areas for development. Through this plan, Arab East Colleges reaffirm their commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation as a cornerstone for sustainable development and the creation of an advanced knowledge-based society.
