About the Center

The Arab East Colleges Library is one of the main academic facilities in the colleges, and has worked to keep pace with scientific and cultural developments at the local and global levels, to ensure the provision of the latest services and information resources to its employees. College libraries have three main sections: the student library, the female student library, and the private libraries. Since its establishment in 1428 AH, the Arab East Colleges has paid great attention to the library as a primary supporter of the educational process, and an important supporter for achieving excellence and uniqueness in the fields of teaching, scientific research and development. This is reflected in the provision of modern and diverse sources of information, including printed, audio, visual and electronic vessels. Based on the library's role as a knowledgable window to the external community, the library of the Arab East Colleges received special attention, to contribute effectively to supporting the educational and research environment within the colleges.

Objectives

  • Selecting and providing appropriate information vessels to support the college's specialisations and educational and research activities.
  • Organising information vessels and using techniques and standards to facilitate access and research.
  • Focussing on beneficiaries and putting their needs into account in the library's various processes and procedures.
  • Providing information services to the community of beneficiaries in the college and the local community.
  • Diversifying the information services provided to beneficiaries and always striving for quality, excellence and creativity in it.
