Supporting scientific research for faculty members, students and community institutions by providing various sources of information and organising them in a standard organisation that facilitates the process of accessing, researching and retrieving information.
Vision
The Library of the Arab East Colleges should be a model for higher education institutions characterised by quality, objectivity, and service to researchers.
The loan service
The loan is the vital nerve of the East College Library service and is considered one of the most important public services provided by the library to the beneficiary community, which is the process of registering information sources in order to use them, whether internally (internal loan) or taking them out for use outside the library or the information centre (external loan) according to the policies of the Arab East Colleges library. The process is supervised by the loan officer who registers the material before taking it out, and to ensure that it is returned by the loaner himself.
Items that are not allowed to be lent:
- Sources of information of a reference such as: knowledge circles, dictionaries, evidence, etc.
- Rare books.
- Journals and scientific series with the related subject.
- University theses are only lented to faculty, lecturers and teachers in the college, and for a week only.
- Non-paper materials (audio-visual, discs and film miniatures).
- Government publications, documents, archives, maps and files.
- Books reserved by faculty members for educational purposes.
- Fragmented books with more than (3) parts.
- Books with only copies.
- Private books.
