تكمن أهمية البرنامج في أنه يوفر مؤهلات حاملات شهادة الماجستير فى رياض الأطفال لسد العجز في أغلب الجامعات. بالإضافة إلى أن العمل في الروضة علم وفن يحتاج إلى مشرفة ومديرة دائمة الاطلاع وهذا ما يحققه لها الانتساب بالبرنامج الحالي، خاصة في ظل اعتماد المرأة العاملة على الروضة في تربية وتهيئة أطفالها للمرحلة الابتدائية. كما أنه يهدف إلى توفر العديد من الأبحاث التطبيقية والميدانية التي تفيد في تخطيط مناهج رياض الأطفال وتطويرها وحل المشكلات التي تواجه المعلمات أثناء عملهن في الروضة وتقديم خدمات واستشارات لأعضاء المجتمع المحلي في مجال تربية الطفل.

Additional entry requirements
بالإضافة إلى الشروط العامة للقبول، يشترط للقبول في برنامج ماجستير رالآداب في الطفولة المبكرة أن تكون المتقدمة حاصلة على درجة البكالوريوس في رياض الأطفال أو تعليم ما قبل الإبتدائي.
