Accounting Department

I am pleased to welcome you to the Accounting Department, which is considered one of the main academic pillars of the College. It contributes to building the minds of our male and female students and qualifying them to be future leaders in the accounting and auditing profession, and in the fields of business, governance, and financial control. The accounting specialization is one of the pivotal specializations in the contemporary business environment, as it forms the basis upon which sound financial and economic decisions are made, and contributes to promoting the principles of transparency, accountability, and the quality of financial reports in various sectors. From this perspective, the Accounting Department has been keen to develop the Bachelor's program to be integrated in terms of academic content and practical application, by linking the academic courses to the reality of the profession and the requirements of the labor market, and enhancing analytical skills, critical thinking, and adherence to professional ethics. This is in line with technological developments in the accounting profession such as smart systems, sustainability reports, and digital transformation in financial reporting.

We in the department have been keen to ensure that the Bachelor's program in Accounting is a distinctive program that combines the depth of academic knowledge with the strength of professional application, in line with modern developments in the Saudi and global business environment, and consistent with the directions of Saudi Vision 2030 in building an economy based on knowledge, efficiency, and transparency. We believe in the Accounting Department that knowledge is not an end in itself, but a means to build people and enable them to make an impact; therefore, we work to develop financial analysis skills, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making among our students, through an interactive educational environment that values creativity, stimulates excellence, and encourages scientific research, teamwork, and initiative. We also pride ourselves on our qualified academic staff and our professional relationships with relevant regulatory and professional bodies, which enhance the quality of our outputs and support the opportunities for our graduates in the labor market. At the same time, we are keen that our relationship with our students is based on partnership and shared responsibility, recognizing that the success of the department is measured by their success and academic and professional excellence.

In conclusion, I assure our male and female students that the accounting specialization is not just numbers and reports, but a language for understanding economic reality, a tool for decision-making, and an ethical message based on accuracy, integrity, and transparency.
