Al-Sharq Al-Arabi Colleges Embody the Journey of Foundation in a Historical Exhibition
His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Salman, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, inaugurated the exhibition organized by Al-Sharq Al-Arabi Colleges on Wednesday, 08/09/1447 AH, corresponding to 25/02/2026 AD, on the occasion of Foundation Day. The inauguration was attended by Their Excellencies the Deans of the Colleges, Vice Deans, and Advisors, along with a number of faculty members and administrators.
Upon his arrival, His Excellency inaugurated the exhibition and then toured its sections, listening to a brief explanation of its contents. The exhibition reviewed the inception of the First Saudi State from Diriyah in 1727 AD by Imam Muhammad bin Saud – may Allah have mercy on him – and what that stage represented in establishing a firm foundation for a state built on unity, stability, and solidifying the pillars of governance. This marked a historical turning point that contributed to shaping the features of a stable political entity in the Arabian Peninsula.
The exhibition included an introductory corner about the founder and the imams of the First Saudi State, reviewing the most prominent efforts made to consolidate the foundations of the state and enhance its security and unity. It also covered the journey of the Third Saudi State under the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud – may Allah rest his soul in peace – and the achievements during his reign in unifying the country and bringing its scattered parts together, establishing the foundations of the modern state on solid principles of Sharia, justice, and administrative organization. This led to the comprehensive development continued by his righteous sons, the kings after him – may Allah have mercy on them all – reaching this prosperous era under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, may Allah protect them. During this era, the nation witnessed qualitative leaps in various fields under Saudi Vision 2030, and massive development projects were launched that brought about remarkable transformations, earning the Kingdom a prominent and important position and affirming its leadership globally.
The exhibition also featured a heritage corner reflecting aspects of life in the past, by displaying a number of traditional artifacts, tools, and historical photographs that embody the details of social and economic life at that time. This clearly demonstrates pride in the cultural heritage and connection to the historical roots of the Kingdom, deepening the sense of pride in national identity.
At the conclusion of the tour, His Excellency the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees expressed his appreciation for the efforts made in organizing the exhibition, emphasizing that celebrating Foundation Day deepens awareness of the nation's history, instills values of belonging and loyalty, and embodies the role of educational institutions in highlighting the historical roots of the Saudi State, which extends for more than three centuries. It also inspires lessons from its blessed journey to continue building and developing, and to preserve the nation's principles and established values, in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership towards a more prosperous and sustainable future.
